Generative KI im Gesundheitswesen – Ein Recap des Vortrags von Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schwabe in der Forschungsvortragsreihe zum Thema Digitalisierung 2024

(14.05.2024) Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schwabe, seit 2022 Lehrstuhlinhaber für Informationsmanagement am Institut für Informatik der Universität Zurich, stellte den Forschungsgruppen und interessierten Studierenden im KD2Lab seine Forschung zum Thema “How can doctors and generative AI together help me lose weight?” vor.

Wir bedanken uns bei Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schwabe für seinen Besuch und seinen spannenden Vortrag darüber, wie  generative KI dafür genutzt werden kann um laufenden Behandlungen von Patienten zu unterstützen. Für Interessierte bietet die folgende Zusammenfassung eine kurze Einführung in das Thema:

Abstract

Both doctors and smart Apps strive to help obese people lose weight. However, those worlds are separated: Doctors do not know what Apps the patients are using, and the Apps ignore treatment plans recommended by the doctors. I will present how the 'digital companion' provides integrated care in and between medical consultations. A particular focus will be on how the digital companion persuades the patients to adhere to treatment by applying generative AI.
