IT-Certifications
In research and practice, certifications are used as a proven means of minimizing information asymmetries, reducing their consequential problems and supporting the development of stable electronic markets. A certification is a formal proof that the platforms, processes and services of a company fulfill a given standard and is issued by a certification body after an examination by an independent auditor. IT certifications prove that, for example, the electronic platform for selling products or services meets defined IT security and IT data protection requirements.
