Research Project FLAIROP Press Release - Smart Picking Robots Collaborate for Better Grasping

(28.08.2023) In the research project FLAIROP researchers at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), with the participation of the Critical Information Infrastructures research group, have worked with partners to develop ways of learning together without having to share sensitive data and company secrets.

Autonomous, flexible robots are considered a key technology for Industry and Logistics 4.0. The problem is that training robots controlled by artificial intelligence (AI) requires very large amounts of data, which only very few companies have. The solution: robots from different companies at different locations learn from each other without having to share sensitive data and company secrets.
